This course is designed to highlight to participants the dangers of chainsaw use and the safe operating procedures necessary so as to help avoid accidents and injuries
Course Content
Employer & Employee legal responsibilities
Health & Safety legislation
Chainsaw maintenance (workshop safety)
Chain sharpening
Lubrication and refueling
Starting and pre-cutting checks
Crosscutting and stacking timber
Felling and De-limbing
Fallen or partly knocked branches and trees
Site safety including allowing for wind factor when cutting
Delegated will be expected to provide their own PPE.
Certification & Validation
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive the following:
