Correctly adjust and prepare the machine for cutting according to manufacturers / employer specification.
Operate mower(s) in a safe and efficient manner.
Undertake daily and weekly maintenance procedures.

State the Health & Safety requirements when using tractors and gang mowers.
Set up and operate the gang mowers in a safe, efficient manner.
Carry out daily maintenance on gang mower units.
Strimmer / Brushcutter Operation & Maintenance
Course Objectives
On completion of the course those attending should be able to:
Know a range of machines, blades and attachments.
Safely use and maintain a range of machines with various blades and attachments. Safe operating procedures.
Leave a clean, tidy and safe site.
Course content:
Health & Safety in the use of strimmer.
Range of machines.
Pre start checks and basic maintenance.
Replacing and adjusting cord.
Range of blades and attachments.
Changing metal Blade. Fuel mixing (2 stroke).
Operating procedures.
